Klaus Moosmayer was elected in May 2025 as member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank AG and serves as well on the Audit, Risk and Compensation Control Committees of the Board. Until April 2025 he was a Member of the Executive Committee and Chief Ethics Risk and Compliance Officer of Novartis. Prior joining Novartis in 2018, Klaus was the Chief Compliance Officer of Siemens AG, where he spent 18 years in roles of increasing seniority. He began his career as a lawyer in Germany, specializing in white-collar crime, business law and litigation.
Klaus brings a global reputation as a leader in the field of ethics, governance, and compliance. He was the first head of compliance from a company to be invited to address the General Assembly of the United Nations about the fight against corruption. He led global integrity, compliance, and anti-corruption bodies for business on behalf of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the G20/B20. Currently, he co-chairs the Global Future Council on Good Governance of the World Economic Forum. He is a guest lecturer at St. Gallen University, Switzerland, and speaks and writes extensively about governance, business ethics, compliance, and risk management.
