Paul Lukowicz is Professor of Artificial Intelligence at RPTU Kaiserslautern and Scientific Director at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), where he leads the Embedded Intelligence group. His research focuses on context-aware ubiquitous and wearable systems, combining sensing, AI, and large-scale self-organizing models. He coordinates major European initiatives, including HumanE AI-Net, and plays an active role in shaping the field through leadership in numerous EU projects, editorial boards, and top-tier conference committees.
