Speakers Profile

Albrecht Schmidt is Professor and Chair of Human-Centered Ubiquitous Media at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. A leading figure in Human-Computer Interaction, his research focuses on enhancing human perception and cognition through ubiquitous computing, intelligent interfaces, and human-centered AI. He is a member of the ACM SIGCHI Academy, the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, and was named an ACM Fellow in 2023 for his contributions to ubiquitous computing and user interface technologies. He also co-founded the ACM conferences AutomotiveUI and Tangible and Embedded Interaction.
